Did you know there are several rules of etiquette which the Royal Family are encouraged to follow? From the order in which they are seated for formal meals, to the way the tiara is positioned on top of the head. While many of us would not enjoy some of these restrictions, there is one that could be of great benefit to a larger population.
If you watched the wedding, or have spent any time watching the events of the royal family, you may have noticed that they do not sit with their legs crossed at the knee.
Here at HCNC we encourage our patients to avoid sitting with their legs crossed as well. When people are sitting with their legs crossed on a regular basis or for long periods of time, there is potential for throwing the hips out of alignment, which negatively affects postural as well digestive health.
When the sacrum (the lower part of the spine) is out of alignment the nerves in that area which control everything from digestive health to reproductive health can cause many other issues because the nerves become disrupted.
If you feel like you could benefit from chiropractic care to keep your body and nervous system in alignment, call our office today.
