Cancer and Nutrition

Almost everyone is affected by the C-word in some way, shape or form and with October being “Breast Cancer Awareness Month” we all have it on our minds.

For that reason our next event will be on the topic of Cancer and Nutrition. Over the years there has been a lot of conversation on different natural websites, blogs and podcasts. This is your opportunity to learn first-hand, how what you put into your body can affect cancer and how your body heals from it.

Next Tuesday, October 13, we will dive into the topic of Cancer and Nutrition in greater depth because what you eat before, during and after cancer treatment will make a difference in the way your body responds to any treatment.

pH Balance: An acidic environment is a great way for cancer to grow, so we will discuss certain foods that can neutralize your system. Likewise, your pH can be and is affected by stress and negative thinking. Your thoughts can affect your biochemistry and releases hormones that will shut down your immune and digestive systems.

Food: How about foods that just “don’t agree” with you? Yes, these too can have an effect on the way our body functions. If your body has to work harder to digest certain foods, it will have to divert its energy from fighting illness and disease to digestion. Many find it helpful to learn which foods are making their body work harder through Nutrition Response Testing.
